North Korea: The Secretary General of the United Nations is the agent and puppet of America

Pak Sahafat – The foreign minister of North Korea strongly criticized the biased position of the UN Secretary General regarding the country’s missile and defense tests, calling him the agent of the United States.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, quoted by Ryan News, North Korean Foreign Minister Choi Sang-hee criticized UN Secretary-General Anthony Guterres’ “biased” approach to the Korean Peninsula issue, calling him an agent of the United States.

He explained about this: On November 18, Anthony Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations, once again called the legitimate and fair exercise of North Korea’s right to self-defense in response to US military threats “provocative”. Recently, I sometimes imagine that he is a member of the White House or the US State Department. I express with deep regret that Mr. Guterres, the Secretary-General, has forgotten to adhere to the purpose and principles of the United Nations Charter, which emphasizes adherence to justice, impartiality and equality in all matters, and as a result, he has adopted such a pathetic position.

The foreign minister of North Korea also added: We have openly said and shown that in the fragile security situation in and around the Korean Peninsula due to the dangerous actions of the US and military cooperation against North Korea, we had to take necessary measures to protect ourselves. We sent a clear message that America should not take such provocative actions if it does not want catastrophic consequences. However, the Secretary General of the United Nations labeled us as a provocateur and not America.

According to this North Korean diplomat, in order to maintain stability and security in the Korean peninsula and the region, the international community should more actively comment on the need to stop the provocative actions of the United States in the region, which is the source of all problems. He also emphasized that North Korea is following the actions of the United States and the United Nations Security Council and is ready to respond.

The South Korean military announced early Friday that the North Korean military had tested an intercontinental ballistic missile. The Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the South Korean Army announced last Thursday morning that North Korea had launched an unidentified ballistic missile towards the Sea of Japan.

The missile launches and tests came after North Korea warned last week that it would pursue “tougher” military responses against US efforts to build up its military presence in the region. North Korea also criticized the recent tripartite meeting between the US, South Korea and Japan. During this tripartite meeting, the leaders of all three countries criticized North Korea’s recent weapons tests. US President Joe Biden said at the conference that the three countries are more coordinated than ever against Pyongyang’s provocative behavior.

After the conference, Pyongyang issued a statement warning that the military exercises would take the Korean peninsula into an unpredictable phase.

In 2022, North Korea has so far conducted a total of more than 30 ballistic missile tests. Pyongyang officials emphasize that their missile tests are in response to the provocations and tensions that the United States and South Korea are doing. Washington and Seoul recently conducted a joint exercise near the border with North Korea, part of which was also attended by Japan. South Korean and American officials have repeatedly claimed in recent weeks that North Korea is preparing to conduct its seventh nuclear test. North Korea has not conducted a nuclear test since 2017.
