New York Post: Biden is to blame for increasing inflation in America

Pak Sahafat – The New York Post newspaper wrote: While deep inflation is on the way, US President Joe Biden is trying to shirk his responsibility in curbing inflation and blames the Republicans in order to score points on the eve of the congressional mid-term elections.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report on Monday, the New York Post added: The real cause of the disastrous policies in curbing inflation is Biden. In the first and second quarter of the year, the country faced a recession with negative economic growth in the first half of this year, and only in the third quarter, it registered a positive growth, which was due to the reduction of the trade deficit caused by more energy exports and consumption costs.

Bloomberg economists forecast a 100 percent chance of a deep recession next year, and two-thirds of economists participating in the National Business Economics Survey share the same opinion.

Biden claims a Republican victory in the congressional midterm elections will “ruin the economy” and increase inflation. In a strange statement, he also argued that Democrats are fiscally responsible.

He brags about the fact that the federal deficit was reduced by $1.4 trillion last fiscal year, but he ignores the fact that it was due, first, to the end of emergency spending for Covid-19, and second, if it weren’t for this factor, with all the new spending he has forced through, the deficit has not been reduced.

The New York Post wrote in the end: Biden and his fellow Democrats ignored months of warnings, dismissed extremely high inflation as trivial and “passing,” and continued with their destructive economic measures.

The political result of this neglect was that voters distanced themselves from the Democratic Party, and polls show that people believe that the party in power is to blame for their economic woes.

The fact that the president blames the opposition party for the economic mess shows that he will remain a big part of the problem even after the Democrats’ humiliating defeat in the congressional elections.

The US mid-term elections will be held on November 8. In this election, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 out of 100 seats in the Senate will be contested. At the same time, the candidates of the two Republican and Democratic parties will compete for the position of governor in 36 American states.

On Saturday local time, Biden cast his vote by attending one of the polling stations of the US House of Representatives in the city of Wilmington, located in the state of Delaware.

He expressed his hope that the possible defeat of his party’s candidates will not disrupt his ambitious political plans.
