New dismissals and appointments in Saudi Arabia

The official Saudi news agency announced the new appointments in this country by King Salman.

According to the International Group of Pak Sahafat News Agency, quoting Al-Khalij Al-Jadeed, King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia issued a royal decree yesterday appointing a new commander of the joint coalition forces led by Saudi Arabia and the Minister of Health and Hajj.

According to the Saudi News Agency, King Salman replaced Saudi Minister of Health Fahd bin Abdul Rahman bin Dahs al-Jalajal in a decree dismissing Tawfiq bin Fawzan bin Mohammed al-Rubaye.

Al-Rubaye will assume the post after the removal of Saleh bin Tahir from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on March 12th. The King of Saudi Arabia also appointed “Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al-Arifi” as an advisor to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers after he was removed from the post of Deputy Minister of Transport.

The King of Saudi Arabia promoted him to the rank of lieutenant colonel by promoting Major General Mutlaq bin Salem bin Mutlaq Al-Azimah to the rank of lieutenant colonel.

Al-Azima took over as commander of the Joint Forces on September 2, 2020, following the arrest and interrogation of Prince Fahd bin Turki, the former commander of the Joint Forces, on suspicion of corruption.

The Saudi coalition claimed on Friday evening that it had intercepted and destroyed a bomb-laden drone fired by Yemeni forces into southern Saudi Arabia.

In a Twitter message, Yemeni Supreme Political Council member Mohammed Ali al-Houthi reacted to the appointment of King Salman of Saudi Arabia as the new commander of the joint forces of the Arab coalition invading Yemen.

He wrote in a Twitter message: Changing policies is beneficial, but changing commanders only means proving failure. God willing, they will not go anywhere against the warriors of the Yemeni nation.
