Netanyahu: Saudi Arabia is taking steps towards normalizing relations with Israel

Benjamin Netanyahu, the former Prime Minister of the Zionist regime and the current leader of the opposition faction in the Knesset, said in an interview with CNN that Saudi Arabia is moving towards the normalization of relations with Israel.

According to the International group of Pak Sahafat news agency, in an interview with CNN host Farid Zakaria, Netanyahu claimed that Ibrahim’s agreement was made possible by drawing a threatening image of Iran, and further claimed that signing Ibrahim’s agreement was not possible without the approval and opinion of Saudi Arabia.

He added about Arab countries’ desire to normalize relations with this regime: When I openly expressed my opposition to Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons, it created common and mutual interests with many Arab countries in the region. The combination of exploiting Iran’s nuclear threat and Israel’s power caused the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf to stop looking at Israel as their enemy.

Regarding the process of normalizing relations between the Zionist regime and Saudi Arabia, Netanyahu emphasized that Riyadh has started the gradual process of normalization with Israel a long time ago. He further admitted: Since 2018, and even before the signing of the Ibrahim agreement between Israel, the UAE and Bahrain in September 2020, Riyadh allowed us to use its airspace so that hundreds of thousands of Israelis could fly from Saudi Arabia to the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf and today even beyond to travel.

The former prime minister of the Zionist regime added: If it was not for the agreement of Saudi Arabia, it would not be possible for us to sign the Ibrahim agreement with the Arab governments of the Persian Gulf. So we can say that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is on the path of normalization.

In the final part of his interview with CNN, Netanyahu announced that the normalization of relations between Tel Aviv and Riyadh is one of his main diplomatic goals if he wins the upcoming parliamentary elections of the Zionist regime on November 10.
