Lukashenko: The West is most afraid of a nuclear disaster

Pak Sahafat – Alexander Lukashenko, the President of Belarus, stating that if the enemy attacks the Russian territory and threatens the existence of this country with its aggression, Moscow may be forced to use nuclear weapons, said: But the reality is that the West is most afraid of a nuclear disaster.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, quoted by Tass news agency, the President of Belarus said in an interview with the 60 Minutes talk program of the Russian state television: Despite its latest actions, the West is very afraid of the possibility of a new large-scale war or a nuclear disaster.

Lukashenko pointed out that so far he has met with people who play an important role in this relationship, who claim that “if” it happens, we will “do it” and added: Western officials are threatening to take drastic and radical decisions, but the reality is that they fear a nuclear disaster more than anything else.

He emphasized: They have been honest about the fact that they fear the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine more than anything else, and this is a completely natural thing.

Recalling that Minsk also does not want the situation to go this way, Lukashenko added: We’re not looking for it either, and we’re also afraid because, according to experts, it could cause a global catastrophe, and if all the nuclear weapons went off, it might knock the planet out of its orbit.

The President of Belarus said: However, if the enemy attacks the Russian territory and threatens the existence of this country with its aggression, Moscow may be forced to use nuclear weapons.

Lukashenko went on to point out that he has always wanted Ukraine to resolve the issue through dialogue with Russia as long as there is an opportunity, and emphasized: But the West has forbidden Kiev from interfering in anything.

He also reminded that based on the detailed information he has, he is sure that the overwhelming majority of the people of Ukraine, including the soldiers who fought there and were sometimes killed, want this war to stop immediately, he added: But high-ranking officials in Kiev, led by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, are against the cessation of hostilities and negotiations.

The President of Belarus noted: Zelensky thinks he’s a beloved hero who goes around the world being hugged and kissed, but I thought he’d be smarter than that.
