Kissinger’s warning to America and China about the precipice of World War III

Pak Sahafat – While US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is heading to Beijing, former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger warned Washington and Beijing about the precipice of World War III.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, citing US Daily Express, Kissinger warned that the United States and China are headed for war unless the two sides can reduce tensions.

This 100-year-old former diplomat stressed that if the current tensions continue, China and the United States will go to war, adding: the current path of relations between Beijing and Washington must be changed.

According to Daily Express US, tensions between China and the United States have increased, especially over the issue of Taiwan, which China considers an inseparable part of its territory.

Kissinger noted that the United States and China must withdraw from their stalemate at the top of the precipice.

He added: This is a unique situation in the sense that each of these two countries is the biggest threat to the other country, that is, the biggest threat to China in their opinion is America, and they have the same opinion in the United States.

Kissinger warned about US isolation

These statements were made just a few days before the official visit of the current US Secretary of State Blinken to China.

According to a report provided by China, Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang, in a phone call with Blinken, asked the United States to respect Beijing’s main concerns before the trip.

Blinken’s trip to China will be the highest-level visit by an American official to the country in the past five years.

Taiwan has long been a point of friction between two world powers. Beijing views the self-governing island as a rogue province and has not ruled out reunifying it with the motherland (China), even with the use of military force, if necessary.

On the other hand, Taipei claims that only the people of Taiwan can decide the fate of this island.

Meanwhile, the United States continues to maintain its policy of strategic ambiguity and does not comment on the question of whether it will help Taiwan in the event of a military attack by China.

However, the United States provides advanced weaponry to Taipei, including air defense systems, fighter jets and other military equipment, which has angered China.
