Jordan: Israel should immediately stop desecrating Al-Aqsa Mosque

Pak Sahafat – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan, in a statement on Sunday night, called on the Zionist regime to immediately stop desecrating Al-Aqsa Mosque.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from Turkey’s Anatolia news agency, Haitham Abu Al-Foul, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan, condemned the continuation of the settlers’ attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque and allowing them to desecrate this mosque, which is done with the support of the Zionist police.

He added: The increase in attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is carried out along with the provocative actions of the settlers, is a clear and open violation of international laws and contrary to the rules and regulations governing Quds and its holy places.

The spokesman of the Jordanian Foreign Ministry added that the violations and desecration of sacred places are a dangerous trend that raises the alarm of increasing tensions, the consequences of which will affect everyone.

Abu Al-Foul emphasized that Al-Aqsa Mosque is a place of worship for Muslims, and the Department of Awqaf Quds and the Affairs of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jordan is the only competent legal authority regarding the administration of the affairs of this mosque and the regulation of entry into it.

At dawn last Friday, thousands of Palestinians offered morning prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) Mosque in Hebron.

The Palestine Information Center wrote in a report: This action was taken as a sign of support for Islamic holy places and opposition to the policies of the Zionist regime in the field of Judaization and an attempt to change the historical-religious identity of these holy places.

The Palestinians also did this action with the aim of emphasizing their permanent presence in these mosques and defending them.
