Jerusalem Post: Saudis seek trade with Zionist through Bahrain

A Zionist newspaper quoted a source as saying that the Saudis were seeking to trade with Israeli companies through Bahrain.

A source said that Saudi companies are planning to do business with the Zionist regime through Bahrain.

According to the Zionist Jerusalem Post, the source said:  “This is very interesting and a sign of how feelings about Israel are changing in Saudi Arabia.”

The source, who was in Bahrain last week, said that several Saudi companies were engaged in commercial transactions with Tel Aviv and that these investors were more interested in investing in the Zionist regime’s high-tech industries.

Representatives of companies active in the field have declined to comment.

Bahrain’s economy is largely dependent on Saudi Arabia, which has made it easier for Saudi businessmen to connect with the Zionists.

In September, the Zionist regime and Bahrain announced the normalization of relations within the framework of the Ibrahim Agreement. The United Arab Emirates, Sudan and Morocco have also normalized their relations with the Zionist regime in recent months.

After announcing the normalization of relations, Israeli and Bahraini officials have met several times, and the Bahraini Foreign Minister has traveled to the occupied territories with the Minister of Industry and Trade and the Minister of Tourism.

In October, representatives of the Zionists Federation and Bahrain signed a memorandum of understanding on trade cooperation.

Bahrain-based Gulf Air also signed five agreements with several Israeli institutions on December 10.

The Bahraini airline also signed an agreement with the Zionist Aerospace Industries Group for the maintenance of Bahraini aircraft that will land at Ben Gurion Airport.
