The “Saraya al-Quds”, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, reported a rocket and mortar attack on a Zionist military base and settlements near the Gaza Strip.
The “Saraya al-Quds”, the military branch of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced this Sunday afternoon that it had targeted several Zionist cities and towns with rockets.
According to the Palestine Today website, Saraya Al-Quds added that in response to the Zionist regime’s aggression, several Zionist towns of Oslum, Nirim and Kozoom were targeted by rocket fire.
Al-Quds also reported that it had targeted the Nahl al-Awz military base on the eastern border of the Gaza Strip with 120-mm mortars.
Al-Mayadin network also reported that alarm bells were sounded in the Zionist town of Nahl-e-Awz.
Al-Manar TV also quoted Saraya Al-Quds as saying that the Zionist regime has acknowledged that a number of its soldiers were wounded in the attack on the Nahl al-Awz base.
The situation in occupied Palestine has been very critical and tense since about a week ago. The situation was aggravated by the fact that the Zionist militias attacked the Al-Aqsa Mosque in different stages of the morning (May 10th), coinciding with the 28th month of Ramadan, and turned it into a battlefield, using sound bombs and tear gas. Tear gas, plastic and even metal bullets targeted worshipers and sit-in protesters at the shrine.
In addition, in various parts of the West Bank, Zionist militias and settlers clashed with Palestinians who had taken to the streets to protest the Zionist regime’s plans to Judaize Jerusalem and Zionist provocations, including the seizure of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and the expulsion of Palestinians.
In response to these crimes, Palestinian resistance forces intervened. The occupied territories, including Quds, Asqalan, Tel Aviv and the Zionist settlements around the Gaza Strip, have witnessed widespread rocket and rocket attacks by the resistance since the evening of the invasion of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the warning of Palestinian resistance groups. The Zionist army has also called in a number of its reserve forces and is bombing blind areas in the Gaza Strip.
