Protests against the non-payment of monthly salaries to the military and security forces of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region have spread, and today a number of Peshmerga forces protested against the postponement of their salaries for several months.

While the Americans have allocated monthly sums to pay the salaries of the organized divisions of the Peshmerga of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, the Peshmerga Minister of the Regional Government has asked Washington to pay the salaries of all these forces.

The insurgency of the Peshmerga Minister of the Erbil government, Ismail, during a meeting with the US military delegation in the Iraqi Kurdistan region, demanded that the salaries of all Peshmerga forces in the region be paid equally by the Americans.

The Americans had announced in the past few days that the organized divisions of the Peshmerga force would receive their three-month arrears without any deductions, which was followed by protests from other military forces in the Kurdistan Region.
