Intensification of separatist tendencies in America

Pak Sahafat/ Findings from a new poll show that despite Biden’s slogan of unity, divisions among Americans have grown to the point where the separatist idea is gaining popularity among Democrats and Repudblicans.

According to the Pak Sahafat news agency, the New York Post reported yesterday (October 1), citing the results of a new poll by the University of Virginia, that more than half of those who voted for Donald Trump in last year’s presidential election somewhat agree with the separation of the Republican states from the United States. Forty-one percent of voters of Joe Biden also support the idea of separating Democratic states from the United States.

According to a university poll conducted in mid-summer of more than 1,000 Trump supporters and 1,000 Biden supporters, 25 percent of Trump supporters and 18 percent of Biden supporters strongly agree with the separation of the Red and Blue States from the United States.

At least 80 percent of Trump and Biden voters believe that elected party officials pose a threat to American democracy.

In addition, at least 75 percent of voters believe in Democratic and Republican rivals in the 2020 election to some extent that the party’s two-pronged supporters are threatening the American way of life.

More than 70 percent of supporters of the two political figures believe to some extent that some far-left or far-right media outlets are spreading lies that should be censored to prevent the spread of dangerous lies.

The New York Post writes that the most striking finding of the poll is that about 50 percent of voters support Trump and Biden to some extent that whoever the president is, he should be able to take action without the constraints of Congress or the judiciary.

The only positive finding of this poll is that about 80% of blue and red voters believe in democracy as the preferred form of government.

However, more than 60 percent of supporters of both political elites in the United States believe that the ruling system is not a democracy but an oligarchy that supports the rich.
