India’s response to the intensification of Western pressure on the Ukraine crisis

Pak Sahafat – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia announced that at the same time as the pressure of Western countries on India to comply with their policies towards Ukraine is intensifying, Delhi is trying to adopt a neutral approach in this regard.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, quoted by Russia Elium, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Friday that the G7 countries are pressuring India to impose their unilateral positions on the conflict in Ukraine on the statements and final documents of the G20 meeting in New Delhi.

In a statement published on its website, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: The G7 countries, led by England, Germany and France, are putting pressure on India and seeking to impose their unilateral approach on Ukraine in the final documents of the G20 summit activities to be held next Saturday and Sunday in New Delhi.

The ministry noted that the Indian side is trying to adhere to a neutral path by relying on G20 economic powers. India rejected Western requests to invite Ukraine to participate in the recent (G20) meetings, thereby preventing the US and its allies from using their opportunistic considerations to sabotage the practical and important achievements New Delhi made during its one-year presidency.

Earlier, the Financial Times reported that British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak urged his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the G20 summit in New Delhi to use his influence to end the conflict in Ukraine.
