Guterres once again demanded the return of Afghan girls to schools

Pak Sahafat – United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres once again asked the Taliban to immediately cancel the ban on girls’ education in the General Assembly of this organization.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report on Wednesday from “Zhor” news agency, Antonio Guterres said last night at the beginning of the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations this year: I call on the Afghan authorities to immediately remove all restrictions on girls’ access to secondary education.

On Sunday, he also wrote on his Twitter account: “A year of knowledge and a lost opportunity that will never come back.”

The UN Secretary-General added that the girls belong to their schools and asked the Taliban to allow them to return to schools.

After taking control of Afghanistan, more than a year has passed; the Taliban has not allowed girls above the sixth grade to go to schools.

Critics believe that while there is no justification in this matter; But it is not yet clear when girls’ schools will reopen.
