This bill under the title of “Taliban Sanctions Act” will be introduced by Senator Jim Rish from the state of Idaho along with eighteen Republican senators.

Sen. Rish said Congress must act quickly to pass the bill because the Taliban’s influence will increase without a strong U.S. presence in Afghanistan.

In response to this bill by American senators, the Taliban government announced that applying pressure will not work and the United States should take the path of interaction instead of pressure.
