Forced recruitment of Syrian youth by US-affiliated Kurdish elements

Kurdish militias known as the “Syrian Democratic Forces”, which are affiliated with the United States, forcibly transferred dozens of young Syrians to military training camps in al-Hasakah province.

Kurdish militias known as the “Syrian Democratic Forces”, which are affiliated with the United States, continue to commit crimes against residents of northern and northeastern Syria.

Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed reported that Kurdish militants attacked the Merkada area in southern al-Hasakah province (northeastern Syria) and detained several youths from the area.

After arresting the youths, the militants transferred them to the recruitment and training centers in al-Hasakah.

The newspaper also reported that the elements also went to their headquarters in al-Shadadi, al-Hasakah, and arrested several of their employees to be sent to the battlefields.

According to the report, this policy of the US-affiliated elements is to compensate for the defeats and losses of manpower that the Kurdish elements suffered in different parts of Syria. Syrians have repeatedly reacted to the protests by holding demonstrations.

In this regard, sources close to the Democratic Forces reported that elements affiliated with this group also arrested 20 civilians in the city of Raqqa and transferred them to an unknown area.

The sources said that the Democratic Forces claim that these people were patrolling during the attack two nights ago.

The attack took place in the al-Karama area west of Raqqa. Six people, including a journalist, were injured in the attack.

Two members of the group were killed and several others were wounded during an attack on a Kurdish checkpoint in the village of Maroudeh, east of Raqqa.
