Elon Musk looking for big investments in India

Pak Sahafat – Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, claimed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked him to make a “significant investment” in the country, adding that it will be officially announced soon.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from The Straits Times on Wednesday, his statements were made after meeting with Modi during the Indian Prime Minister’s state visit to America.

Reuters previously reported that Musk had held talks with Modi about his plans to set up a factory in India.

Musk said: India has a strong potential in the field of sustainable energy, including solar energy, rechargeable batteries and electric vehicles, and he hopes to bring SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service to India.

Musk told reporters after his meeting with Modi. Modi really cares about India; because he is pressuring us to invest significantly in India; what we also intend to do. I am sure that Tesla will be present in India and we will do it as soon as possible.

The spokesperson of the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also wrote in a tweet that Modi has invited Elon Musk to explore “India’s opportunities to invest in electric vehicles and the country’s rapidly expanding business environment.”
