Dismissal of two British police officers following an ethical scandal

Pak Sahafat – Two London police officers were fired for sending what were called “discriminatory and offensive” messages on WhatsApp, in a continuation of the security agency’s ethical scandals.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from news sources, a total of eight London police officers were found guilty today (Friday) in a London court for sending racist sexist messages. Six of them have resigned from their jobs and two other agents, one of them named “Glynn Reyes” and the other one, who asked to remain anonymous, were fired.

One of their accusations is mocking the disabled child of an English actress. Some of their messages, exchanged between May 2016 and June 2018, are also said to “glorify sexual violence against women”. According to the issued verdict, the guilty officers have been permanently banned from working in the security agency.

The judgment of the London court has dealt another blow and “significant damage” to the reputation of the police in this country. London Police Disciplinary Chief John Sawell said: I am ashamed to read the insulting messages of these officers and I fully condemn their behavior. I am deeply sorry for those who have been the subject of such awful and hateful messages.

This news is published while the results of the latest studies conducted on the performance of the British capital police show a shocking and deplorable picture of the depth of racism and moral corruption in this security institution. A report released last month following the murder of Sarah Everard, a young woman who was sexually assaulted and then murdered by a London police officer last year, reveals a toxic culture among officials and employees of England’s largest police department. The aforementioned report, which was prepared by Baroness Lois Casey, narrates the culture of bullying and the inability of the officials of the London Police Department to deal with the moral scandals of this organization.

The results of research conducted in England show that public trust in the police of this country has decreased significantly. The findings of the “Redfield Wilton” Institute show that only 26% of the British people have a positive view of the performance of the police; 40% of people who travel alone at night feel unsafe and are more worried about being a victim of a crime than five years ago.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has called for a “culture change” in the police force, saying that public trust in the police has been “severely damaged”.
