Pak Sahafat – A member of the Iraqi Parliament from the “Al-Sadiqun” faction demanded the reopening of the assassination case of the martyred Lt. Gen. Hajj Qassem Soleimani, the former commander of the Quds Force, and the martyred Hajj Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, the former deputy of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Organization, and some government officers are involved in the progress of the country’s affairs.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, quoting from “Alaba” TV channel, “Ali Turki Al-Jamali, representative of the “Al-Sadeghoon” faction, this Saturday accused the Iraqi government headed by “Mustafa Al-Kazemi” of covering up this crime and stated: We are a few weeks away from the third anniversary of the airport crime – which targeted the martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and the guest of Iraq martyr Qassem Soleimani, the commanders of the victory operation against the ISIS terrorist group; Without exposing the parties who cooperated in the implementation of the crime of the US government.
He added: About the crime of Baghdad airport during the term of Prime Minister “Mustafa Al-Kazemi”, cover-up was carried out. There is evidence that confirms that officers in al-Kazemi’s government were involved in complicity or covering up the crime and not exposing those involved.
Al-Jamali clarified: There are many questions that the prime minister of the government that seems to be in collusion with the Americans has not answered.
He added: Al-Kazemi’s government delayed the clarification of the full truth about the parties who participated and planned and executed the assassination of the victory commanders.

Earlier, Ahmad Al-Asadi, the head of the Al-Sand al-Watani faction of the Iraqi parliament, in an interview with Al-Malouma news agency, blamed the government of Iraq’s progress under the leadership of Mustafa Al-Kazemi, whose mission has ended, for delaying and covering up the crime of assassinating commanders.
He had said that Mustafa Al-Kazemi’s government did not fulfill its promise regarding the expulsion of foreign forces from Iraq, including the American forces.
Al-Asadi considered the assassination of the victory commanders committed by America as a clear violation of Iraqi sovereignty and emphasized that the measures taken in this regard are not proportionate to the scale of this crime.
The head of the “Al-Sand Al-Watani” faction further emphasized that the case of expelling foreign forces from the country, especially the American forces, will be one of the priorities of the Iraqi parliamentarians in the next phase.
On the morning of Friday, January 02, 2020, Lieutenant General Haj Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force at the time, who had traveled to this country at the invitation of Iraqi authorities, was martyred in a terrorist attack by American drones at the Baghdad airport. In this attack, together with Soleimani, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, deputy of the Popular Mobilization Organization of Iraq, and a number of their comrades were martyred. The above attack was carried out on the direct orders of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and he officially took responsibility for this crime.
