Former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said that time is not on the side of Kiev in the Ukraine war.
According to the International group of Pak Sahafat news agency, Condoleezza Rice, the former US Secretary of State, and Robert Gates, the former Secretary of Defense of this country, stated in a joint analytical article that time is not in favor of Kiev in the Ukraine war.
In this joint article posted on the website of the Washington Post, Mrs. Rice and Mr. Gates stated that Ukraine’s military and economic power is now completely dependent on Western support, while time is not in Ukraine’s favor.
They believe that Ukraine’s economy and military capability are completely dependent on the resources of Western countries, America at the top of them. If Ukraine’s military fails to make significant gains, Western pressure on Kiev to hold ceasefire talks will increase as months of military stalemate continue.
These two former American officials believe that the only way to prevent such a scenario from happening is for Washington and its allies to increase their military aid to Ukraine quickly and to the extent that Ukraine can prevent a new Russian invasion and forces pushed Russia back in the east and south.
What needs to be done in the current situation, they noted, is for the United States and its allies to decide to send more military equipment, especially mobile armored vehicles, to Ukraine.
Condoleezza Rice was the Secretary of State from 2005 to 2009 and Robert Gates was the Secretary of Defense from 2006 to 2011.
According to Pentagon estimates, since the beginning of Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine, the US government has provided more than 24 billion and 200 million dollars in military aid to Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and some other Russian officials have repeatedly warned that the danger of Western arms supplies to Ukraine ends elsewhere.
Anatoly Antonov, the Russian ambassador to America, also believes that equipping Ukraine is a direct threat to Europe and global security.
