Cancellation of the Israeli cabinet meeting following the escalation of disputes in Tel Aviv

News sources in occupied Palestine reported that the cabinet meeting was canceled after the Israeli prime minister and the war minister accused each other.

On Sunday evening, news sources reported that Israeli War Minister Benny Gantz had canceled a cabinet meeting scheduled for today (Monday) ‌ following escalating disputes with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to Arab 48 news website, Bani Gantz, the leader of the “Blue-White” coalition, attributed the cancellation of the cabinet meeting to the decision of the Likud party (Prime Minister of the Zionist regime) as well as Netanyahu’s personal decision to oppose the appointment of a permanent minister.

Netanyahu’s party, in turn, said in a statement: “Due to some appointments, Gantz is being barred from signing a contract to receive the 4 million [doses] of vaccine needed to vaccinate Israelis. If the cabinet does not sign the contracts reached by Netanyahu’s chief of staff as soon as possible, the vaccine companies may cancel them and transfer the vaccines to another country.

The accusation came as Avichai Mendelbit, a judicial adviser to the Israeli cabinet, called on Netanyahu and Gantz to appoint permanent ministers instead of heads of ministries, emphasizing the appointment of a justice minister last Friday.

Meanwhile, differences between the two sides have intensified as parliamentary elections in occupied Palestine have reached a stalemate for the fourth time, and so far neither party has reached the quorum alone.

The Israeli election commission announced on Thursday evening that the counting of votes in occupied Palestine had ended, with the right-wing Likud party led by Benjamin Netanyahu and its allied parties winning a total of 52 of the 120 seats in the Knesset (Israeli parliament).

The leaders of the Zionist regime‘s parties have already begun the necessary negotiations to form a coalition, which is likely to last a week. If no party is able to form a 61-seat coalition, the Zionist regime will be forced to hold its fifth election in two years in an unprecedented event.
