Blinken’s visit to Beijing did not reduce the military tensions between China and the United States

Pak Sahafat – Despite the visit of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to Beijing, it seems that the military tensions between China and the US are still strong.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report on Sunday, quoting from the Global Times news site, Following Blinken’s visit to China, the ships and fighters of both countries, including aircraft carriers, are still stationed in the disputed waters of the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea, which indicates that there are signs of easing tensions between the two sides.

According to international relations experts, even if the United States is really looking for change or dialogue, it should stop saying one thing and doing another.

According to the statement released by the Defense Intelligence Service of the Pentagon, only the aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan is present in the South China Sea.

According to news media reports, the Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier is still stationed in the South China Sea after completing joint exercises with the participation of Japanese, French and Canadian ships in the East China Sea and Philippine territorial waters last week.

Blinken concluded his two-day visit to Beijing on June 19, where the two sides agreed to strengthen ties and keep communication lines active between the two countries.

According to political observers, the continued activities of the American aircraft carrier and spy plane behind China’s doors show that tensions are still strong.

According to Li Haidong, a professor at the China Foreign Affairs University, although the United States claims that it is trying to establish stability in the relations between the two countries, it continues to take tension-causing measures in its relations with China.

The professor of China University of Foreign Affairs said in a conversation with Global Times: These US actions, which do not respect China’s sovereignty, security, and interests, are very dangerous and are a kind of playing with fire, which can lead to the deterioration of relations between Beijing and Washington.
