Despite the deaths of 12 US troops in the Kabul bombings, the US president said the operation to withdraw Americans from Afghanistan would continue.
In a speech on the Kabul bombings Friday morning, US President Joe Biden said the mission to evacuate US citizens and US allies in Afghanistan would continue.
“We have to complete this mission and we can do it,” Biden said.
He said: “Terrorists cannot stop us. We will not allow them to interrupt our mission. We will continue the evacuation operation. I have instructed my commanders to draw up operational plans to attack ISIS-Khorasan. “These ISIL terrorists will not win.”
“We do not forgive,” Biden said, referring to those who carried out the attack near Kabul airport. We do not forget. “We will find you and do something to pay the price for your work.”
