Arrest of 174 Palestinians since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan

Pak Sahafat – The Zionist regime has intensified its detention of Palestinians in the occupied territories since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the Center for the Study of Palestinian Prisoners of War said Wednesday night.

According to Pak Sahafat News agency from the Palestine Information Center, during the first 12 days of the holy month of Ramadan, 1,774 Palestinians were detained by Zionist militants in various parts of the occupied territories, according to the report.

Riyad Ashqar, the center’s director, said 19 of the detainees were children.

According to the center, a number of detainees were also leaders of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian groups in the West Bank.

The report comes an hour after a young Palestinian was killed in a clash with the Israeli army in the West Bank.

The young man, named Qusay Fouad Hammara, was a resident of the village of Hussan near Bethlehem in the West Bank, who was shot dead by Israeli forces.

Earlier, Israeli War Minister Bani Gantz implicitly threatened to escalate tensions with Gaza.

He added that we are in a critical situation and there is a possibility of any escalation of tension with this strip.

Some have attributed the move to Zionist outrage over a recent successful martyrdom operation that killed two Zionists and wounded 16 others last Thursday.

The Zionist media declared the shooting unprecedented in the occupied territories.
