Israeli soldiers, especially in the West Bank, deal with Palestinian students every day and keep them behind their checkpoints for a long time or insult and mistreat them.

They also attack and detain Palestinian students on their way to school and inside the school.

A member of the Board of Prisoners and Freedmen of the Gaza Strip announced on the occasion of the Palestinian Children’s Day, which coincides with April 5, that the number of children who have been detained by the Zionist government since 1967 has reached more than 50,000 children.

In this regard, Abdul Naser Farauneh, a member of the board for the affairs of Palestinian prisoners and freedmen in the Gaza Strip, said that about 1,300 cases of arrest of Palestinian children by the Zionist regime were registered in 2021 alone, and at least 160 Palestinian children were killed in prisons and detention centers of this regime.
