Amazon workers in England also joined the strike

Pak Sahafat – In continuation of the strikes in different parts of England, the workers of the American company Amazon in England stopped working and went on strike from Wednesday in protest of the low salaries.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from Reuters, Stewart Richards, one of the directors of the GMB trade union (GMB), announced this: Rising inflation is the main factor behind the move by workers at Amazon’s warehouses in Coventry.

He added: The workers have to work long hours so that they can barely cover their expenses.

In August of last year, a group of workers from another Amazon warehouse located in Tilbury in the southeast of England went on strike in protest of their working conditions.

Amazon has 75,000 low-wage employees in the UK whom take low wages for their work.

Even now, the employees of important departments, including hospital nurses and emergency workers, as well as railway workers and English lawyers, are on strike to protest the low wages.

Thousands of health care workers in England and Wales resumed strike action on Monday, as unions called on the government to negotiate better pay and working conditions, as protests escalated.
