Algeria has announced that Syria may attend the next Arab League summit

The Algerian president has announced that he is scheduled to attend the next meeting of the Arab League in Algeria, Syria.

According to Pak Sahafat news agency, quoting Russia Today, Algerian President Abdel Majid Taboun said all Arab member states would attend the meeting.

Earlier, the Algerian foreign minister said that Syria’s participation in the summit was linked to consultations between members. It is hoped that these consultations will be positive and that Syria will participate in this summit.

The Syrian foreign minister also announced that Damascus was ready to expand its relations with Syria despite the former positions of its neighbors in the region regarding the Syrian war.
