A US military truck being targeted in Iraq

An Iraqi resistance group has released a video of a truck carrying US military logistics equipment being targeted in the south of the country.

Earlier, Iraqi resistance groups released footage of a US convoy being targeted and will release it today.

The Saber News Telegram Channel reported that the video belonged to a US military convoy carrying logistics equipment for the US Army, which was built on 1/2/2021 (five days ago) near the Al-Lahis area in western Basra province (southern Iraq). The target is a roadside bomb.

According to Saberin News, the operation was carried out by the “Awliya al-Dam” resistance group.

In recent months, convoys carrying logistics equipment for US troops stationed in Iraq have been repeatedly targeted by roadside bombs. These caravans enter Iraq mainly from the Syrian border in the west or the Kuwaiti border in the south.

Iraqi groups have previously said that the deadline for Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi’s government to withdraw US troops has expired.

After the US coalition terrorist attacks against the resistance forces and the martyrdom of a number of Iraqi Al-Hashd al-Shabi forces, as well as the martyrdom of General Haj Qassem Soleimani, former commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes, former deputy head of the Iraqi Al-Hashd al-Shabi organization. The Iraqi parliament approved a plan to withdraw US troops from Iraq on the 15th of that month and called on the Iraqi government to implement it; However, Washington continues to refuse to withdraw its forces from Iraq.

Many Iraqi groups consider the US forces present in the country as occupiers and emphasize the immediate withdrawal of these forces from their territory.
