The Palestinian Prisoners of War Research Center reported Wednesday night that 400 Palestinians were arrested last month (October) by Zionist militants and security forces in occupied Palestine.

Detentions in occupied Palestine rose to 400 in October, including 75 children and five women, according to the Palestinian Prisoners of War Research Center.

According to the report, the highest number of detainees is in occupied Jerusalem, where 140 Palestinians were detained by the Zionist regime last month, followed by Al-Khalil with 55 detainees.

The report adds that one of the prominent Palestinians arrested in October was Sheikh Ikram al-Sabri, the spokesman for the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the head of the Palestinian Islamic Supreme Council, who was detained by Israeli security forces and later released.

According to official Palestinian sources, there are currently 4,650 Palestinians in Israeli prisons, 180 of whom are children.
