20,000 Palestinian homes at risk of demolition; Demographic catastrophe awaits Quds?

Twenty thousand Palestinian homes in occupied Jerusalem are threatened with destruction by the Zionists, said the Palestinian Authority’s adviser on Jerusalem.

Ahmad al-Rawizi, the Palestinian Authority’s adviser on Jerusalem, said in a statement that 20,000 homes belonging to Palestinian families in occupied Jerusalem were being demolished by the Zionist regime under the pretext of not having a permit.

According to Al-Ahd, he added that only 12 percent of the area of East Jerusalem is allowed to be built by the Palestinians, while Zionist settlers are allowed to build in 42 percent of the area.

Al-Rawizi said that the destructive policy pursued by the Zionist regime in the region is part of the forced displacement of citizens and the evacuation of the city from the Palestinians.

He added: The issue of sabotage is a purely political issue, and the Zionist courts, in the context of the implementation of programs in “Al-Toor”, “Sheikh Jarrah” and the outskirts of Quds, provide legal coverage for this issue to the Zionist regime’s coalition cabinet.

Al-Rawizi went on to warn of the imminent danger that threatens the people of Sheikh Jarrah’s opposition in occupied Jerusalem.

Twenty-eight Palestinian families in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood have been at risk of being forcibly relocated by the Zionist regime since 1959. Zionist courts have claimed that these houses belong to so-called religious organizations that operated in 1948.
