12 Arab countries declared Thursday the first day of the holy month of Ramadan

Pak Sahafat – 12 Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, announced on Tuesday night that Thursday, March 23, will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency from Arab media, in the official statement of the countries of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Sudan, Yemen, Iraq, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, with the exception of Oman, it is stated that Thursday will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

The government of Oman announced that the sighting of the crescent moon has not yet been confirmed.

Oman’s Ministry of Endowments recently announced in a statement that it will check the sighting of the crescent again on Wednesday evening.

Earlier, Iran had announced Thursday as the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

A member of the headquarters of the office of Supreme Leader of the Revolution said: Thursday, the third of April, is the first day of the holy month of Ramadan in 2023.

Hojjat-ul-Islam Syed Reza Qalam Karan Esfahani, a member of the establishment staff of the office of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, in the nationwide conference of Friday imams and congregations of Kurdistan province, pointing out that we are on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan, said: This year, in the calendar of all countries, it is Wednesday 29th of Sha’ban and Thursday is the third of April, the first of Ramadan.
