The support of the National Assembly of Pakistan for the expansion of cooperation with Iran

Pak Sahafat – In his meeting with Amir Abdullahian, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan emphasized the expansion of cooperation with Iran and invited Ghalibaf to visit Pakistan.

According to Pak Sahafat news agency, Foreign Minister Hussain Amirabdollahian, in continuation of his meetings with Pakistani officials, met with “Raja Parvez Ashraf”, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan.

In this meeting, which was attended by members of the high-ranking delegation along with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amir Abdullahian, while conveying the warm greetings of the Speaker of the Islamic Council to the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, said: During the last two days, good negotiations were held with the high officials of the Pakistani government in the fields of economy, trade, banking, energy, transportation and border relations, and good agreements were reached, and we hope that these agreements will be implemented with the cooperation of the two countries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs said: The National Assembly of Pakistan can play an important role in supporting the government of this country to complete the pipeline project of Iran gas transmission to Pakistan.

He also announced Iran’s readiness to buy live livestock from Pakistan.

In this meeting, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, referring to the many political, religious, historical and geographical commonalities between the two countries, in addition to the neighborhood factor, said: The historical memory of the people of Pakistan does not forget that Iran was the first country to recognize Pakistan and for this reason we consider ourselves indebted to Iran.

Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, pointing out that the agreement on the project of transferring Iran’s gas to Pakistan was made during the government of the People’s Party in Pakistan demanded the completion and implementation of this project.

He also announced his readiness to host Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Council, during his visit to Pakistan.
