The Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s position on Palestinian rights is cowardly

President of Pakistan Ulema Association:

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s position on Palestinian rights is cowardly

Maulana Mashhadi, a Sunni cleric, called the OIC position on Palestinians cowardly.

Maulana Mohammad Mahfouz Mashhadi, head of the Jamiat Ulema (Sunni) of Pakistan, reacted to the silence of the international institutions of the Islamic countries on the issue of Palesetin and said: “The position of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation towards the Palestinians is cowardly.”

He stated that the Assembly of 57 Islamic countries did not properly reflect the position of the Islamic world towards the Palestinians, adding: “They only issued a statement and a speech, and in the statement they only liked the condemnation of the crimes of the Zionist regime.” And there is no mention of field operations against Israel.

The Pakistani cleric said that in the statement, along with Israel, allied countries, including the United States, should be condemned, adding that Turkey, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Sudan, Morocco and other Islamic countries that have relations with the regime. They should have announced the severance of diplomatic relations, the readiness to send the army, the armed forces and weapons to the resistance groups.

The head of the Pakistan Ulema Association called the OIC position on the Palestinians cowardly, fruitless and ineffective and said: “Arab statesmen have been enslaved by the Americans to protect their kingdom. They have subjugated national and Islamic love and pride for their own interests.” We call on the Pakistani government to send troops to Palestine to save the first qibla of Islam and Muslims.

He concluded: “The United States has failed in the Security Council on the Palestinian issue, but UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’ remarks were disappointing. Instead of preventing war, condemning Israel and supporting the Palestinian oppressed, he called for a ceasefire.” And it is unfortunate
