Saudi Foreign Minister visits Pakistan

The Saudi Foreign Minister is scheduled to pay a one-day visit to Islamabad tomorrow, Tuesday, at the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart, with the agenda of developing bilateral relations, consulting on the region and international issues.

Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud will travel to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, tomorrow, August 26, at the invitation of Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

The ministry said in a statement: This visit is the result of the visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to Saudi Arabia in May this year.

During the Saudi Foreign Minister’s visit to Pakistan, the two countries will discuss the development of bilateral relations, regional and international developments. A delegation of senior Saudi government officials will accompany Faisal bin Farhan on the trip.

Islamabad’s dissatisfaction with Riyadh’s lack of support for Pakistan’s policies, especially in the Kashmir dispute, created tensions between the two countries that lasted more than a year and a half, and the absence of any high-level trips between the two allies strained relations between Islamabad and Riyadh.
