Pak Sahafat – The President of Pakistan said: The restoration of diplomatic relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia is an admirable and pioneering step in the Islamic world.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, “Arif Alavi” during a speech at the 5th “Islam Message” international conference in Islamabad city, about the revival of bilateral relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, added: “This development opens the way for the Islamic world to address its issues.”
He stated: The beginning of official relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia was widely welcomed in the region and the world and became a model for addressing the challenges facing Muslims.
Alavi considered the escalation of the situation in occupied Palestine and the recent events in the Al-Aqsa Mosque to be the cause of concern and sadness for the Muslims of the world.
The President of Pakistan also expressed concern about the discrimination against Muslims in the world, as well as the situation of Muslims and their oppression in the subcontinent.
He stated that the consolidation of livelihood and the strengthening of scientific capabilities are the needs of the Islamic world today and added: Muslims need self-restraint and tolerance to overcome common challenges and issues with alignment and coordination.

Speakers at the International Conference on the Message of Islam, which was organized by the Islamic Council of Pakistan with the presence of a group of Islamic ambassadors living in Islamabad and Pakistani officials, called the agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia to restore relations valuable and in line with the interests of the Islamic world.
Emphasizing the support of Palestinian Muslims, they called for strengthening the unity and integrity of the Islamic world against common challenges, especially the defense of Muslims in Palestine and Kashmir.
During his speech, Senator Mushahid Hussain, Chairman of the Defense Committee of the Senate of Pakistan, appreciated China for the effective diplomacy between Iran and Saudi Arabia and for helping to de-escalate the tension in the region and added: The future belongs to the East and Asians will decide for themselves and we have no need to make decisions in America or Europe.
Hossein Amir abdollahian and Faisal bin Farhan, the foreign ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia, met and discussed in Beijing on the morning of April 17.
After this meeting, the foreign ministers signed a joint statement with the presence of the Chinese foreign minister, and while agreeing to reopen the embassies of the two countries at the agreed time, they emphasized their readiness to remove the obstacles facing the expansion of cooperation.
