Pak Sahafat – Leaders of Islamic religions and political thinkers of Pakistan expressed their satisfaction with the recent developments in the region, especially the normalization of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, at the unifying gathering “Quds, Identity and Credibility of the Islamic World”: The unity of Muslims is the main solution to overcome common challenges, including strengthening the Palestinian resistance front.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, the Quds conference on the identity and credibility of the Islamic world was organized by the House of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the city of “Peshawar” with the participation of the Consulate General of Iran and the National Peace Assembly of Religions of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province at the Imam Khomeini (RA) meeting hall of the House of Culture of our country.
A number of political figures, leaders of Islamic religions, scientific elites and university professors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province attended this unifying gathering and emphasized the necessity of following the thoughts of Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, for Islamic unity, especially the defense of Palestine against the aggression of the Zionist occupation regime.
At first, a documentary video clip on the topic of Gaza and Palestine, regarding the atrocities and oppression of the Zionist regime towards the oppressed people of Palestine, was played in Urdu for the audience.
Consul General of Iran in Peshawar Ali Banafshekhah addressed the politicians, scholars and members of the media present in this conference: In recent days, the news of increasing integration and unity between Islamic countries, including the restoration of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, has been welcomed by Islamic governments and nations, and we hope to see a reduction in differences in the Islamic world in the near future.
He stated: Today, we are witnessing that the Islamic world has suffered from the continued occupation, torture of innocent people, and humiliation of Muslim brothers and sisters in Palestine, and every year in the holy month of Ramadan, Al-Aqsa Mosque is desecrated, and Muslim people are allowed to worship in this place. All these barbaric behaviors happen while the so-called international human rights institutions are practically silent.
At the end of his speech, Ali Banafshekhah said: We believe that the only solution to the Palestinian issue is to take the most democratic way, and that is to hold a referendum in this land after the release of all Palestinian prisoners from the cesspools of the Israeli apartheid regime and the return of all Palestinian refugees to their homeland. Undoubtedly, based on the promise of Almighty God, in the Holy Quran, the oppressed people will become the rulers of the world in the near future.
“Qiblah Ayaz”, the head of the Islamic Ideological Council of Pakistan, while appreciating the Iran Culture House for its serious efforts in organizing various unifying programs, said in a part of his speech: Today, Shia and Sunni scholars and clerics have gathered for the Quds issue, and this issue is the result of the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which always fulfills its duty towards the Palestinian issue.
He added: After a long time, an understanding was reached between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and this understanding is not only limited to these two countries, but its fruits and effects will lead to progress and peace in Islamic countries, including Yemen and Syria.
Maulana Hamidul Haq, Chairman of Pakistan Defense Council and leader of Jamiat Ulema Islam Party (Sami branch), said: International Quds Day means the complete defense of the identity of the Islamic world, and we insist on solving the Palestinian issue and defending Quds as the first and fundamental issue of the Islamic world.
Maulana Hamid al-Haq said: America and the Israeli regime have never been satisfied with the formation of a union of Islamic countries, but the possibility of forming this union will be realized and implemented soon after the understanding of the two major Islamic countries, Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Sadiqur Rahman Pracha, the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa state, described Al-Quds as the red line of Muslims and said: The endurance of the Palestinian people against the limitless oppression of the Zionist regime is due to the support of the people of Iran and Pakistan. Because they are confident that the people of Iran and Pakistan will support them in this way and will not leave them alone.
“Maqsood Salafi” the head of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province’s Jamaat Ahl Hadith party also stated in his speech: The country of Pakistan and other Islamic countries with their abundant material and spiritual capacities have the ability to destroy the usurping regime of Israel and decisively defend the oppressed people of Palestine, and this wish will be realized at the time of real unity and alignment of the Islamic world.
Allameh “Jahanzeb Jafari”, the head of the Majlis Wahdat al-Muslimin party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, said: Imam Khomeini’s vision made Palestine the first issue of the Islamic world, and the attention of the Muslims of the world was focused on the oppression of the Palestinian people, and this itself was a great service to the Islamic world, because he knew that Palestine was an important issue of the Islamic world.
“Iftikhar Hussain”, Secretary General of Awami National Party and former Minister of Information of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa State, said in his speech: From every angle, the Palestinian issue is an Islamic issue, a human issue, and human oppression, and the reason for this is the lack of unity among the Muslims of the world. If Muslims were aware of the conspiracies and plans behind the scenes of the enemies of Islam, Palestine would never have remained in this situation. Unfortunately, the interests of the Islamic world and foreign policies are not shared and this has caused problems in Islamic countries and societies.
He added: Imam Khomeini (RA) with his tact and foresight named the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the World Quds Day and as the first leader in the Islamic world paid attention to Quds and removed the veil from the evil face of the Zionist regime.
Dr. Fakhrul Islam, the head of Pakistan Studies Center of Peshawar University stated: The Zionist regime has deliberately oppressed the Palestinian people in the holy month of Ramadan, in order to divert the attention of the Islamic world from the events and political demonstrations in the occupied land. However, the attention of the Muslim world to the Palestinian issue has increased many times.
On the sidelines of today’s ceremony, the painting exhibition with the theme of Quds, which was depicted by the students of Iran’s House of Culture, was visited by the personalities and participants of this conference.
