Pakistan 1,050 new cases reported in 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, Pakistan has recorded 41 more coronavirus-related deaths in past 24 hours, surging the overall death toll to 12,658.

According to the latest statistics of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the COVID-19 has claimed 41 more lives and 1,050 fresh infections were reported.

The total count of active cases is 24,483.

In the past 24 hours, as many as 752 patients have recovered from the virus in a day and 1,616 patients are still in critical condition.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), with fresh inclusion of the infections in the country the national tally of cases now currently stands at 573,384.

A total of 33,978 tests were conducted across the country during this period. Overall 536,243 people have recovered from the deadly disease so far while 8,752,533 samples have been tested thus far.

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) said Pakistan will receive 5.6 million doses of coronavirus vaccines by the end of March.

Pakistan will get 5.6 million coronavirus vaccine doses by the end of March, as the country takes strides in inoculating its frontline health workers.

Pakistan began vaccinating its frontline health workers on February 2. So far, 72,882 health workers have been given at least one of the two anti-Covid-19 shots.

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) said Pakistan will receive 5.6 million doses of coronavirus vaccines by the end of March.
