Maulana Fazlur Rehman: The West and the Zionist regime are supporters of terrorism

Pak Sahafat – The head of the Jamiat Ulema Islam Party Maulana Fazlur Rehman appreciated the messages of the President and Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran condemning the terrorist explosion in Pakistan and said: Countering extremism requires the awakening of the Islamic Ummah, while the West and the Zionist regime are supporters of terrorism.

According to the Pak Sahafat News Agency, Maulana Fazlur Rehman hosted Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam today in Islamabad. This meeting was held with the aim of conveying the message of condolence and sympathy of the nation and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the government and people of Pakistan, especially the families of the victims of the terrorist attack.

The head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam party expressed his regret at the extreme point of view of violent elements under the pretext of Jihad and Islam, and stated: The claimants of the so-called Jihad are doing nothing but harming Islamic values ​​and harming Muslims.

He emphasized on the role of Iran and Pakistan in the region and common thinking for sustainable peace and added: Peace and security of both countries are dependent on each other, so bilateral interactions should be strengthened to strengthen joint cooperation and also to counter the flow of extremism and terrorism.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said: Jamiat Ulema Islam is a strong supporter of strengthening Iran-Pakistan relations, and we believe that scholars and religious elites of both countries are capable of playing a role in this matter.

Blaming the biased view of the West towards the Islamic world and the use of extremism and terrorism as a tool to prevent the development and prosperity of Muslim nations, he added: We believe that the Westerners and the Zionist regime are supporters of terrorism.

While conveying the message of condolence to the officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he announced the readiness of our country to provide any assistance to the victims of the terrorist attack in Pakistan and emphasized that the Iranian authorities are following up on this tragic incident in repeated calls.

Citing the martyrdom of more than 17,000 Iranian citizens in terrorist operations in the first decade of the Islamic Revolution designed and managed by the West and the Zionist regime, Amiri Moghadam added: Today, terrorist elements in the West are refugees and under the cover and support of the West, America and the Zionist regime.

He emphasized on the role of scholars of Islamic religions to effectively explain the religion of Islam, to be free from the current of extremism and to awaken the youth generation, and added: The enemies are looking for the wrong direction for Muslim youth, so the Islamic world, especially Iran and Pakistan, should increase their interaction and cooperation for Increase enlightenment against the conspiracy of common enemies.

In this meeting, the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan presented the invitation of the Secretary General of the World Forum for the Approximation of Islamic Religions to Maulana Fazlur Rahman, the head of Jamiat Ulema Islam Party, to visit Iran and participate in the International Islamic Unity Conference.
