Condemnation of the repeated aggressions of the Israeli regime by the members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation should be continued

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan stating that the members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation should continue to condemn the repeated attacks of the Israeli regime on Al-Aqsa Mosque and occupied Palestine, said: We want to address the conflicts and differences in the Muslim world, because conflicts destroy our unity and solidarity, fuel terrorism and extremism, and divert our attention from development.

According to the report of Pak Sahafat news agency, citing official sources of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, during a speech at the 49th meeting of the foreign ministers of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania, announced that Islamabad warmly welcomes the agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia to restore diplomatic relations and praised the facilitating role of the Chinese government.

Referring to the challenges facing the Islamic world and recalling the security and economic crises in Afghanistan, occupied Palestine, Kashmir and the evil phenomenon of Islamophobia, he said: The members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation must continue to condemn the repeated aggressions of the Israeli regime on Al-Aqsa Mosque and occupied Palestine. The Palestinian people must have an independent and free country according to the pre-1967 borders with Quds Sharif as its capital. This may seem like a daunting task today, but I believe that the arc of history in the hands of Almighty God tends towards justice.

Referring to the recent development in the relations between Tehran and Riyadh, Zardari added: We demand to address the conflicts and differences in the Islamic world because conflicts destroy our unity and solidarity, fuel terrorism and extremism and divert our attention from Development is diverting.

He stated that the time has come to join together to restore peace in Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Libya, and for this purpose, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation should strengthen its security mechanism to promote solutions through dialogue.

The Foreign Minister of Pakistan said about the phenomenon of Islamophobia: We have asked the Secretary General of the United Nations to formulate a comprehensive plan of action to stop Islamophobia.

Regarding Afghanistan, he clarified that Pakistan has done all its efforts to prevent a major humanitarian crisis and economic collapse in this neighboring country.

Bilawal Zardari added: Organization of Islamic Cooperation should help in drawing a clear path for peace in Afghanistan so that the interim government of Afghanistan is encouraged to implement the previous promises.

He emphasized the need for the implementation of commitments by the interim government of Afghanistan regarding the protection of human rights, especially women’s rights, promotion of political inclusiveness and the fight against the threat of terrorism such as ISIS, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other terrorist groups in this country.
