Buzdar : 15 officials suspended over Murree tragedy,

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said on Wednesday that 15 officials had been suspended in line with recommendations of the inquiry committee probing the Murree tragedy, in which 22 people had died after their cars were stranded in a snowstorm in the resort town earlier this month.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, he said the officials who had been removed from their positions included the Murree assistant commissioner, Murree assistant superintendent of police, Murree deputy commissioner, Rawalpindi chief traffic officer and Rawalpindi city police officer.

“The Punjab government has fulfilled the promise it made regarding the incident’s investigation,” Buzdar said.
