Blast near Balochistan University on Quetta Sariab Road, policeman martyred

A policeman was martyred and 16 others, including 13 policemen, were injured in a blast in Sariab Road area of ​​Quetta.

A spokesman for the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) said a policeman was killed and 13 policemen and three passers-by were injured in an explosion on Sariab Road near Balochistan University.

All the injured policemen and three passersby have been shifted to Civil Hospital.

Police say the blast targeted a police vehicle. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a police station.

The Balochistan Chief Minister has called for a report on the Sariab Road blast and ordered an inquiry.

The Chief Minister expressed sorrow over the martyrdom of a policeman and the injured in the blast and said that saboteurs wanted to destroy the peace of the province and would not allow terrorists to succeed in their nefarious aims.
