Who was the 16-year-old Palestinian teenager who became a symbol of the Jerusalem resistance?

A 16-year-old teenager from Al-Quds, who walked with the Zionist soldiers in secret and without fear when he was arrested, disrupted social networks and everyone praised the teenager who was the son of a freed prisoner.

Clashes between the residents of occupied Quds and the Zionist regime’s military continue as they demonstrate by their exemplary resistance and intifada during the holy month of Ramadan that they stand by their lives to support Al-Aqsa Mosque and counter Quds’ plans to Judaize Quds.

But in the midst of what is said to have filled social media is a 16-year-old teenager named Bashar Iyad al-Shubaki.

The image that was shown of this teenager during his arrest was widely reflected on social media, and despite his young age, he is not afraid of the Zionist soldiers around him and stands in front of them like a strong mountain.

He is tall and walks and Rana walks with a high head, and this is the moment of his arrest by the Zionist regime’s soldiers in “Bab al-Amoud” in occupied Jerusalem.

The 16-year-old Palestinian teenager, who was arrested by Israeli forces on April 22, is the son of Iyad Shoaiki, a freed prisoner who spent 10 years behind bars and was released in 1999.

The teenager’s father was arrested on charges of involvement in anti-Zionist operations, including attacking settlers and burning their cars and participating in some activities, and spent ten years in the regime’s custody.

“Bashar Iyad al-Shubaki” says about how he was arrested: My family and I used to go to the Al-Aqsa Mosque for the Taraweeh prayer and walk to Bab al-Amoud, where clashes broke out between the youth of Jerusalem and the occupying forces.

Bashar continued: Seven Zionist soldiers surrounded me and arrested me. I tried to defend myself; But they started beating me and took me to the police patrol car in Bab al-Amoud and then to the Al-Muskubiyya interrogation center in the occupied west of Jerusalem.

This teenager adds: As soon as I got into the police car, they started beating me, and the beating continued until I reached the Al-Muskubia interrogation center.

He emphasized: I was interrogated for five hours and asked about the reason for my presence in Al-Aqsa Mosque and Bab Al-Amoud.

Bashar Iyad al-Shubaki said he was released at 2 a.m. on condition that he stay away from the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the old part of Jerusalem for a month.
