Damascus: American officials are lying in removing the obstacles to providing relief to the victims of the earthquake in Syria

Pak Sahafat – In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Syria condemned the attempt of the American authorities to mislead the public opinion of the world about the economic sanctions against the Syrian nation and emphasized that their statements that there are no obstacles to the entry of humanitarian aid and medicine into this country are contrary to reality.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from SANA news agency, the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Syria states: The statements of the US government officials that there is nothing in the Caesar Act and the US sanctions that prevent humanitarian aid and the delivery of emergency medicine to the Syrian people are meant to mislead the public opinion of the world, some organizations and the American people.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry continued: Syrians sometimes pick up the debris with their hands when faced with an earthquake disaster, because it is forbidden to give them tools to remove debris, and they use the simplest old tools to save a person who is crying under the rubble.

The ministry also emphasized: Syrian relief and civil defense teams do not have the necessary mechanism and equipment to deliver them to the victims under a completely destroyed ten-story building, and therefore, their work will take more than twice as much time.

The statement also states that the Syrian people are deprived of medicines and medical equipment that can help them in facing dangers and diseases. US officials can lie, but the images from the affected areas in Aleppo, Latakia and Hama reveal the truth, and despite all these sanctions, Syrians are dealing with the disaster with strength, determination and success.

With the announcement of an earthquake of 7.8 on the Richter scale yesterday morning (Monday) in northwestern Syria and southern Turkey, the friends of the Syrian people, including Iran, Russia and Iraq, again came to the field and started sending their humanitarian aid to this country, but Westerners claiming human rights did not even raise a voice.

A large earthquake shook southern Turkey and northern Syria on Monday morning.

During this 7.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred at 04:17 on Monday morning, many buildings were damaged and rescue and search teams are removing the debris and rescuing those who are trapped under the debris.

This fatal incident has brought widespread reactions and the leaders of different countries have expressed their sympathy with the Syrian and Turkish nations, and in this regard, aid has been given to the two countries.
