The Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, in response to the pressure exerted by the White House, claimed that he has been surprised by the White House’s accusation against Saudi Arabia in relation to aligning with Russia in the war against Ukraine.
According to the report of the International group of Pak Sahafat news agency, Khaled bin Salman, the Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, reacted to the pressure exerted against his country by the United States in a series of tweets.
Prince Khaled told Salman in these tweets, without naming the United States, that the baseless and fundamental accusations leveled at Saudi Arabia in relation to alignment with Russia were not made by Ukraine.
Referring to OPEC+’s decision to reduce oil production, Khaled bin Salman claimed: “This was OPEC’s decision that was taken unanimously and its motivations were purely economic.”
He continued: However, some people accuse Saudi Arabia of siding with Russia. Well, Iran is also a member of OPEC. Does this move by Saudi Arabia mean that Riyadh has aligned itself with Iran?
It should be mentioned that the White House’s threat to change its strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia has terrified the country’s leaders.
