Pak Sahafat – In a report, a Lebanese media described today’s visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, to Syria as “historic” and a sign of “Tehran-Damascus strategic relations” and explained its important goals from his point of view.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report, Banna newspaper wrote in a report on the eve of the visit of Ayatollah Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to Damascus that with this historic trip, the space for Syria’s recovery will be completed because the created spaces show that there is no competition in the process of the return of Arab countries’ relations with Syria and the strategic relations of Tehran and Damascus.
This newspaper added that the approaches regarding Syria have been unified and that approach is to increase the elements of power for the economic, military and political plan of that country.
In another part of this report, it is stated that these issues will be the focus of the agreements that will be signed between the two countries during Ibrahim Raisi’s visit to Damascus under his supervision and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
This Arabic-language media wrote that during this trip, the economic sector, especially energy, will be given great importance, and important military agreements will also be signed.
In another part of this report, Raisi’s conversation with the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen network on the eve of his trip to Damascus and emphasizing the strong relations between Iran and Syria is mentioned.

Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raeesi will visit this country today Wednesday at the official invitation of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad at the head of a high-ranking delegation of political and economic officials.
During their two-day trip to Syria, the president and his delegation will consult with the country’s top officials about ways to consolidate and strengthen political relations and expand and improve the level of economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries.
In addition, during this trip, the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran will attend the joint meeting of Iranian and Syrian businessmen and discuss and exchange ideas with them.
Meeting and talking with resident Iranians and visiting the holy places of Syria are among the other plans of Raisi’s trip to Syria.
In this context, “Mohammed Jamshidi”, the political deputy of the President’s office, wrote in a tweet: West Asia has gone through a highly tense 12-year period of geopolitical transformation, in which the definitive winner is the Islamic Republic of Iran and the definitive loser is the United States. The celebration of the victory of resistance will be held during Raisi’s trip to Syria. God’s mercy on Haj Qasim Shahid, who taught everyone that strength in the field, is the only way to succeed in diplomacy.
It should be noted that Ayatollah Raisi’s visit to Syria will be the first visit of an Islamic President of Iran to Syria since 2011, when the crisis began in this country. The last visit of an Iranian president to Syria dates back to the last days of 2008.
On the other hand, “Bashar Assad”, the president of Syria, has made two trips to Iran. In his last trip, which took place in the middle of April 2022, he met with the Supreme Leader.
