Saudi-style revenge on the Yemenis; Execution of a Yemeni citizen in Riyadh

The Saudi Interior Ministry announced the execution of a Yemeni citizen in Riyadh.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency International Group, the Saudi Interior Ministry announced on Monday the execution of a Yemeni citizen who had been convicted by Saudi Arabia of being a member of the ISIS terrorist group and targeting civilian gatherings at a public center in Riyadh.

Al-Khalij Al-Jadeed website wrote: “The death sentence of Yemeni national Mohammed Abdullah Ahmed Saddam was carried out in the Saudi capital Riyadh,” the Saudi Interior Ministry said in a statement.

The Saudi Interior Ministry also claimed that “Mohammed Abdullah Ahmed Al-Saddam, a Yemeni national, intended to carry out a suicide operation using an explosive belt, and that this person pledged allegiance to ISIL and filmed the location of the suicide bombing.”

The following is the statement: “Saudi security officials were able to arrest the perpetrator, and an investigation led to him being charged with attempting to commit a crime and being found guilty in connection with the case. He was sentenced to death according to Islamic law and as a disciplinary measure.”

Following the military defeat in the Yemeni war, Saudi Arabia has resorted to measures such as expelling workers and migrants and detaining some of them in order to put pressure on the Yemenis.
