Saudi opposition: King Salman completely lost his memory

Prominent Saudi opposition leader Saad al-Faqih said that Salman bin Abdulaziz had Alzheimer’s and did not understand those around him.

Saad al-Faqih, a well-known Saudi writer and opposition figure, commented on the Saudi royal family in a video.

According to the Saudi Leaks, he said that “King Salman bin Abdulaziz” of Saudi Arabia has Alzheimer’s disease, so that its initial symptoms began in 2013 and reached an irreversible stage in 2016, and now he doesn’t understand what is happening around him and his short-term memory only lasts for a few minutes.

Saad al-Faqih, stating that Salman bin Abdul Aziz should be left out, added: “It is not a reproach to King Salman or his son Muhammad, but to the Saudi people, the royal family and the scholars who know the truth and have remained silent.”

Regarding the isolation of “Muhammad bin Salman” in the international community, he said that non-interaction with him has become a global protocol and all countries continue to have a natural relationship with King Salman, although everyone is aware of his illness.

Sa’d al-Faqih then said that “Muhammad bin Salman” would no longer arrest the princes and would not be able to do so.

In another part of his speech, the Saudi university professor referred to “Ahmad bin Abdul Aziz”, the brother of the Saudi king who is in prison, and said that he has a good chance of coming to power in Saudi Arabia.

Sa’d al-Faqih said of him that he is not much different from other members of the royal family and that he is a complete follower of the United States, but he is not an oppressor like Muhammad bin Salman. Unlike bin Salman, he is not at odds with religious scholars and Islamic figures, and when he took over the interior ministry (briefly in 2012), prison conditions improved and some detainees were released.

According to the Saudi opposition, “Ahmad bin Abdul Aziz” is a good option to return to the political scene and is the only person on whom Muhammad bin Salman will be agreed upon by the princes. Despite his weak personality, Ahmad bin Abdul Aziz is also respected by the military.

Ahmad bin Abdul Aziz was arrested and sent to prison in March 2020 along with Mohammed bin Nayef, cousin of Mohammed bin Salman and former Saudi Crown Prince.
