Saudi Foreign Minister: We are looking for the development of the civilian nuclear program

Pak Sahafat – Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister announced: It is no secret that Riyadh is seeking to develop a civilian nuclear program.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from Al-Arabiya on Thursday, Faisal bin Farhan, who was speaking at a joint press conference with his American counterpart, Anthony Blinken, added: Saudi Arabia is developing its civilian nuclear program and prefers to have America as one of its applicants.

He clarified: There are other countries that participate in our tenders, and it is obvious that we want to build our nuclear program with the best technologies available in the world, and this requires a special agreement.

The Saudi Foreign Minister stated: We have differences in our views with the United States and we are working to find a mechanism so that we can cooperate with each other in the field of civil nuclear technology.

Faisal bin Farhan stated: But you know that our intention is to move forward in the direction of our civilian nuclear program.

Regarding the developments in Sudan and the conflict between the army forces and the rapid support forces, he said: I advise my brothers in Sudan to resolve the crisis through dialogue and without conflict and weapons.

In response to a question about the normalization of Riyadh’s relations with the Zionist regime, Farhan also stated: Without peace (the Israelis) with the Palestinians, any normalization of relations with Israel will have limited benefits.

The Saudi Foreign Minister also announced that his country is working with African countries to deal with the challenges posed by terrorist groups.

In this press conference, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken repeated his previous claims about Iran and said that Iran is still destabilizing the Middle East region. We are coordinating with the countries of the region to deal with Iran’s destabilizing behavior.

He also said about the ISIS terrorist group: Although ISIS has been seriously damaged and suffered a severe defeat; it is still a dangerous group.

The US Secretary of State also said about Yemen: We, along with Saudi Arabia and our other partners, have been continuously strengthening the ceasefire in Yemen for the past 14 months.

Blinken stated that his country plays a major role in the process of normalizing relations between the countries of the region and the Zionist regime.
