Saudi sources reported that Muhammad bin Salman did not allow imprisoned princes to visit their families.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has rejected a request by the families of princes imprisoned in Al-Saud’s secret prisons to visit them on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, according to Saudi Leaks.
An informed source told the Saudi website Leaks that the families of the Saudi princes asked the Saudi Crown Prince to allow them to visit their loved ones on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The source said the families submitted their request in a letter to King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, who referred the request to his son to allow them to visit.
According to this anonymous source, King Salman conveyed this request to the Saudi Crown Prince, who in turn rejected this humanitarian request.
In December last year, the families of the detained princes wrote a letter to US President Joe Biden calling for his release and wrote about the poor condition of the princes in secret prisons. Hence, with Biden’s victory, they are optimistic about increasing pressure on Muhammad ibn Salman to free the princes.
Biden’s remarks during his campaign against the repression and arrest of Saudi princes prompted the princes’ families to launch mass protests.
