The Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia claimed that the issue of Palestine is the most important issue of this country and condemned the crimes of the Zionists.
“The issue of Palestine has been and is the most important issue of the [Saudi] monarchy,” said Abdul Aziz al-Wasil, Saudi Arabia’s permanent representative to the United Nations, on Wednesday evening.
In addition to this stance in Riyadh, the Saudi Al-Arabiya network and the Al-Riyadh newspaper are strongly projecting and lying against Palestine and the resistance movement in this country, and make no reference to the Zionist aggression.
Russia emphasizes the right of the Palestinian people to form an independent state with full sovereignty over its territory and the 1967 borders with the capital, East Jerusalem, Russia today reported, quoting Al-Wasil.
He added that Riyadh was “concerned about the escalation of the Israeli policy of colonizing the Palestinian territories, especially the threat to evict hundreds of Palestinian families from their homes in East Jerusalem.”
The Saudi official called on the international community to do its utmost to oblige the Zionist regime to respect the UN Charter and international resolutions.
Al-Wasil continued, “Saudi Arabia strongly condemns the Zionist aggression, the construction of Zionist settlements, the destruction of the homes of the Palestinian people and their expulsion.”
He stated that stopping these aggressions requires the intervention of the Human Rights Council; because the recent events are a gross violation of international law.
The Saudi envoy concluded by saying that Saudi Arabia would make every effort to support the Palestinian people in restoring their rights.
