Restriction of Hajj this year to citizens and residents of Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that this year’s Hajj will be limited to citizens and individuals residing in the country.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia announced today (Saturday) that this year’s Hajj, with a total of 60,000 pilgrims, will be limited to citizens and individuals residing in Saudi Arabia.

According to the Saudi news agency (WAS), the ‌ Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced in the statement that with a total of 60,000 pilgrims, it has decided to limit the possibility of registering Hajj rituals in 1442 AH to citizens and individuals residing in Saudi Arabia.

The statement went on to say that the reason for this is the continuing spread of the Covid-19 virus and the mutation of new strains.

According to the statement, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also stressed that those wishing to register should not have chronic diseases, as well as those between the ages of 18 and 65 who have been vaccinated.
